Representatives of the Hong Kong Government including Mr. Cheung Kwok-kwan and Members of the Legislative Council Attending the Launching Ceremony of the Hong Kong Web3 Hub Fund
The Launching Ceremony of the Hong Kong Web3 Hub Fund will be held on the 5th floor of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center at 2:30 PM on April 14, 2023.
Mr. Cheung Kwok-kwan, Deputy Secretary of the Department of Justice of Hong Kong, and Dr. Johnny NG, the Member of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong, will deliver speeches at the Launching Ceremony. Mr. Caspar Wong, CEO of Web3 Hub and G-Rocket Accelerator, will give a detailed introduction to the establishment of Web3 Hub. Mr. Chan Chun-ying, LegCo Member and Chairman of the LegCo Finance Committee, Ms. Elizabeth Quat, LegCo Member and Chairperson of the Smart City Subcommittee, and Mr. Wong Kam-fai, LegCo Member, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the CUHK, will attend as special guests. Industry representatives including Mr. Wong Yuk-shan, CEO of Hong Kong Science Park, Mr. Jack Kong, Founder of Nano Labs and Director of Hong Kong Cyberport, Mr. Alfred Xu, Co-Founder of Multichain, and Mr. Sheldon Xia, Founder and CEO of BitMart will also attend the Launching Ceremony.
Web3 Hub is established by the G-Rocket Accelerator. The goal is to respond to the Hong Kong government’s Policy Statement on the Development of Virtual Assets in Hong Kong, and to support overseas Web3 companies to get off the ground in Hong Kong through landing services, investment acceleration, and technical cooperation. Web3 Hub provides local and international Web3 companies with advanced facilities and comprehensive support, aiming to support innovative projects in the Web3 field and promote Hong Kong to become a world-leading Web 3.0 hub.
This Launching Ceremony is one of the important parts of the “2023, What are the Opportunities in Metaverse?” forum hosted by BitMart and META ERA. The forum will be open to all guests who hold tickets for the “2023 Hong Kong Web3 Carnival” for free. Guests who hold tickets for this side event will also be granted a complimentary day pass for the Carnival on April 14.
